ZDDP Oil Fortifier — 1 gallon without accessories
Opti-Lube ZDDP Oil Fortifier is a lubricant enhancer designed to supplement suitable lubricating oils with anti-wear additives and friction modifiers. It helps reduce friction and wear at metal contact surfaces in compatible engines, gearboxes and other oil-lubricated equipment.
Not recommended for vehicles equipped with catalytic converters or diesel particulate filters (DPFs). The additive package can shorten the life of these emissions devices.

Any included accessory bottles are empty dispensing bottles. Treatment capacity refers to the quantity of oil treated, not the amount of oil supplied with this product.
Why use Oil Fortifier?
- Anti-wear support: The ZDDP additive package is designed to help protect metal contact surfaces.

- Liquid additive: The published formulation contains no solid particles or alcohol.
Suitable application families
Published applications include compatible engines, gearboxes, manual transmissions, compressors, turbines, hydraulic systems, pumps, and roller or journal bearings. Confirm that the equipment and oil supplier permit a supplemental additive for the specific lubrication system.
First-use and standard treatment
The published chart uses a higher first-treatment dose than the standard treatment. It lists 1.5 oz or more per quart for first treatment and 1 oz or more per quart for standard treatment. Follow the bottle label and chart for your application.

Values above reproduce the published treatment chart. The “up to 128 quarts” package capacity is based on the standard rate; first treatment consumes more additive and treats less oil per container.
Before adding it to your oil
- Check the emissions-device restriction and the equipment manufacturer’s lubricant requirements.
- Determine the quantity of oil being treated and whether this is first or standard treatment.
- Measure the dose using the product label and chart, and account for the additive in the system’s total fluid capacity.
- Maintain the prescribed oil level, oil grade and service interval. Adding fortifier does not replace routine maintenance.
Compare package sizes
Choose a bottle for smaller jobs or a gallon, pail or drum for repeated servicing. Accessory kits add dispensing equipment; the Oil Fortifier formula is the same.
