Everyday protection. Proven XPD performance.
Opti-Lube XPD is the Best Diesel Fuel Additive for Everyday Use. Our #1-ranked diesel fuel additive combines over 45% enhanced lubricity with cleaning, cetane improvement and preventive anti-gel protection.
- ENHANCED LUBRICITY & PROTECTION: Diesel fuel additive for ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) that increases lubricity to help reduce fuel system wear and protect injectors, fuel pump, and critical engine components. Supports smoother operation and long-term diesel engine performance.
- MULTI-FUNCTIONAL PERFORMANCE FORMULA: Advanced diesel additive that improves cetane by up to 3 points, supports efficient combustion, and helps support engine power, throttle response, and overall fuel efficiency for better diesel engine performance.
- CLEANS & MAINTAINS FUEL SYSTEM: Fuel injector cleaner additive designed to clean injectors, help reduce internal deposits, and maintain fuel system cleanliness. Supports consistent fuel spray patterns and reliable engine operation over time.
- ALL-SEASON ANTI-GEL SUPPORT: Anti-gel diesel fuel additive that helps maintain fuel flow in cold temperatures down to -10°F. Supports winter diesel performance and helps reduce fuel gelling risks depending on base fuel and environmental conditions.
XPD also improves fuel economy and storage stability, helps reduce deposits and emissions, prevents rust and corrosion, and improves water separation through demulsification. It contains no harmful alcohols and is compatible with vehicle emissions systems.
Treatment and use
Measure XPD for the amount of diesel being added. The warm-weather rate above 32°F (0°C) is 1/4 US fl oz per US gallon. The listed cold-weather rate below 32°F (0°C) is 1/2 US fl oz per US gallon or more, as directed on the label. All measures are US units. The advertised “up to” treatment capacity uses the warm-weather rate.
| Diesel added | Warm-weather XPD dose | Listed cold-weather XPD dose |
|---|---|---|
| 10 gallons | 2 1/2 fl oz | 5 fl oz |
| 20 gallons | 5 fl oz | 10 fl oz |
| 40 gallons | 10 fl oz | 20 fl oz |
| 60 gallons | 15 fl oz | 30 fl oz |
For cold-weather protection, add XPD before the fuel reaches its cloud point. Mix while both fuel and additive are above the cloud point, generally above 40°F (5°C), and add during fueling for thorough mixing. XPD’s preventive anti-gel helps fuel flow down to −10°F, depending on the base fuel and conditions. It is a preventive treatment; add it before wax crystals form.
Refill and go
The included refill bottles are supplied empty. Their capacity does not increase the filled additive volume in this kit. Use the bulk container to refill the smaller bottles, measure the dose for each fill-up and keep containers clearly labeled and securely capped.
Read the product label and Safety Data Sheet for complete handling and storage directions. Continue normal fuel-filter and water-separator maintenance.
