Treatment and use
Measure XPD for the amount of diesel being added. The warm-weather rate above 32°F (0°C) is 1/4 US fl oz per US gallon. The listed cold-weather rate below 32°F (0°C) is 1/2 US fl oz per US gallon or more, as directed on the label. All measures are US units. The advertised “up to” treatment capacity uses the warm-weather rate.

For cold-weather protection, add XPD before the fuel reaches its cloud point. Mix while both fuel and additive are above the cloud point, generally above 40°F (5°C), and add during fueling for thorough mixing. XPD’s preventive anti-gel helps fuel flow down to −10°F, depending on the base fuel and conditions. It is a preventive treatment; add it before wax crystals form.
